Nigeria mourns first FCT Minister, Ajose-Mobolaji

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria, mourns the dying of the first Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Chief Mobolaji Ajose-Adeogun, aged 96.

Chief Ajose-Adeogun was appointed the first FCT Minister beneath the regime of General Murtala Muhammed and was charged with the duty of drawing up the Abuja grasp plan.

The SGF describes the late former Minister as a technocrat, a boardroom guru, entrepreneur, oil magnate and most of all, an initiator of developmental tasks within the nation.

He commiserates with the Government and folks of Lagos State, his fast household and prays to God to grant the soul of the departed everlasting repose.
