Kogi State Begins the Renovation of Burnt Assembly Complex

The contract for the renovation of Kogi Assembly Complex has been formally awarded by the state authorities with the contractor charged to make sure high quality work.

The Kogi State House of Assembly Speaker, Aliyu Umar Yusuf charged the contractor at a ceremony in Lokoja the State capital to abide by the phrases of the contract indicating eight weeks of completion, noting that his management wouldn’t settle for a shoddy job.

He praised the present administration beneath His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello for marching his phrases with motion, assuring that the Assembly would guarantee high quality laws when the renovation work is accomplished.

The Speaker “The Assembly is poised to come up with quality laws that would improve the standard of the entire state, recalling that it was as a result of the fire incident of 10th October 2022 that the complex became inhabitable for serious legislative business, forcing the lawmakers to resort to the use of the Speaker’s Official Lodge as the venue of sittings”, he declared.

He nevertheless reassured the govt arm of the cooperation of the Assembly that may engender the speedy improvement of the state.
