Sokoto govt begins probe of land allocations, assets sold or auctioned by past administration

A five-man Commission of Inquiry has been arrange by the Sokoto State authorities to probe all land allocations and authorities assets sold or auctioned throughout the administration of former Governor Aminu Tambuwal.

The committee is led by Justice M.A. Pindiga (rtd), and Secretary Nasiru Muhammed Binji.

Chief Jacob E. Ochidi, SAN; Usman Abubakar and Barrister Lema Sambo Wali are different members of the committee.

The Press Secretary to Governor Ahmed Aliyu, in a press release, famous that the committee would additionally confirm the federal government’s checking account and the quantity realized from the gross sales and auctions of the assets.

According to the assertion, “The committee will examine the various allocations of lands throughout the state, including government-owned houses sold or auctioned.”

The committee has two months from the date of its first sitting to submit its report.
