Makinde re-appoints Olayanju as Amotekun commandant

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has approved the reappointment of Colonel Bisiriyu Olayinka Olayanju (retired) as Oyo State Commandant of Western Nigeria Security Network, also known as Amotekun.

The governor made the announcement on Friday.

Media Talk Africa reports that Makinde has also approved the reapportionment of Ms Tara Adefope as the Director General of the Oyo State Bureau of Public Procurement.

The governor also appointed Engineer Mufutau Open Salawu as Executive Assistant, Project Monitoring.

The appointments were contained in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Segun Ogunwuyi.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, in a statement made available to Media Talk Africa on Friday, announced that the appointments are with immediate effect.

The governor in the statement, the governor congratulated the new appointees.

He urged them to see their appointments as a call to service.
