Stakeholder calls for implementation of digital laws

The Deputy Director, Head of Marketing, National Theatre in Lagos state, Henry Ndubuisi, has called for a proper implementation of digital online laws in Nigeria that would address the negative impact of social media.

Ndubuisi, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), described social media as a potent tool that the user could manipulate.

He said social media had its positive and negative benefits.

According to him, there is need for our government to ensure an effective healthy law that will really regulate the use of social media, giving way to a positive manifest.

”Any society that uses social media positively and in the right direction will develop in all ramification, contrarily, it can also bring down a society, being the reason regulations is very necessary.

β€œThe idea is for people, our youths especially, to be aware and mindful of things they do on and with the social media, as there are practical and obtainable laws against its abuse,” he added.
