Governor Uba Sani appoints Bashir Zuntu Accountant General of Kaduna State

Governor Uba Sani has approved the appointment of Bashir Suleiman Zuntu as the Accountant General of Kaduna State.

Muhammad Shehu Molash, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, said in a statement that Zuntu is a chartered accountant, Monitoring and Evaluation specialist, and an astute administrator.

Zuntu served as a senior accountant at the Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment and at the Finance and Accounts Department of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).

“The former legislative aide in the House of Representatives served as executive chairman of Kubau Local Government, Kaduna State, from 2021 to 2023,” the statement said.

The statement also disclosed that Zuntu holds a Master of Science (MSC) degree in Finance from Coventry University, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Accounting from the University of Abuja.

It was further noted that he has skills and competence in financial management, financial inclusion, public administration, and strategy development and implementation.

His appointment takes immediate effect.
