The renowned leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a stark warning about an imminent increase in the price of staple food items within the next three months.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Oluwatosin Osho, on Tuesday, Primate Ayodele cautioned that the price of yam is predicted to rise to N4000, while a cup of garri could soar to N500.

Expressing concern, Primate Ayodele urged President Bola Tinubu to take the current economic situation seriously, recognizing that his ministers may not possess the power to perform miracles.

The esteemed prophet further revealed that unless decisive action is taken, other essential commodities, particularly food items, will also experience significant price increases.

‘If we do not exercise caution, we may witness a scenario in which a large yam costs N4000 in the next three months, a cup of garri reaches N500, and a bottle of groundnut oil is priced at N3000,’ Primate Ayodele warned.

“Tinubu must demonstrate a true commitment to addressing these challenges. The current ministers, though vocal in their claims, possess limited power to enact any magical transformations. What is needed are seasoned technocrats and economic experts who can effectively tackle these issues,” he emphasized.
