So-Safe Corps Apprehends Suspected Bike Snatcher in Ogun State

The So-Safe Corps in Ogun State has successfully apprehended a man believed to be involved in a notorious robbery syndicate. The suspect, identified as Michael Olanrewaju, was arrested at Agbado Oke-Aro in the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State at approximately 5:30 am on Tuesday, August 15.

In a statement, the spokesperson for So-Safe, Moruf Yusuf, revealed that the suspect had managed to evade arrest on numerous occasions, often causing harm to law enforcement agents in his attempts to escape. Yusuf stated that the 26-year-old Olanrewaju, a resident of Abattoir Oju-Irin in Lagos State, is notorious for stealing motorcycles and power generating sets in Ogun State.

Referred to as Skendu, the suspect typically fled to Lagos following successful robbery operations in Ogun State. He was spotted by undercover officers from the corps’s Agbado/Oke-Aro/Ibaragun Area Command, under the supervision of Assistant Commander Akeem Olaiya.

“During the initial investigation, the culprit confessed to specializing in the theft of motorcycles and power generating sets in Olambe communities and surrounding areas in Ifo Local Government,” said Yusuf.

The suspect has since been transferred to the Nigeria Police at the Ajuwon Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation and possible prosecution, concluded the statement.
