In a powerful statement, public commentator Alhaji Ahmed Bakare has called on the government to refrain from engaging in any form of reconciliation or negotiation with bandits. He warns that any money provided under the guise of reconciliation would only serve to finance the acquisition of more sophisticated weaponry by these criminal elements.

Expressing his concerns to newsmen in Gusau, Zamfara State capital, Bakare highlighted the relentless destruction of innocent lives at the hands of these selfish individuals. He lamented the lack of action by both the government and security chiefs, stating that they have the necessary resources to put an end to the merciless killings and kidnappings plaguing the entire state.

With a sense of urgency, Bakare declared, “Nobody is safe in the state, as we all live at the mercy of these bandits terrorizing the region.”
