Fuel Subsidy Removal: FG Allocates N5bn Palliatives to States and FCT

In a move to mitigate the effects of the recently implemented fuel subsidy removal, the Federal Government has announced a N5 billion palliative package for each state in the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The disclosure was made by the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum, during an interactive session with State House correspondents in Abuja on Thursday, following the conclusion of the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting.

Chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the NEC meeting served as a platform for discussions on crucial economic matters and potential strategies to address emerging challenges.
