The Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, finds herself embroiled in controversy due to the absence of a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate.

The NYSC Management confirmed on Thursday that the minister is currently serving as a corps member.

In a statement to The Cable, the Director of Press and Public Relations at NYSC affirmed that Minister Musawa is actively fulfilling her national service obligations.

The Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) sounded the alarm, questioning Musawa’s lack of an NYSC certificate.

Musawa was among the 45 ministers inaugurated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday, following confirmation by the Senate.
