In a monumental move in Nigerian women’s football, Naija Ratels has officially announced the signing of Super Falcons captain, Onome Ebi.

Ebi, who is 40 years old, was previously plying her trade with the Spanish Iberdrola outfit, Levante Las Planas.

Now, the experienced centre-back will don the prestigious jersey number 5 for her new club, Naija Ratels.

It’s a homecoming of sorts for Ebi, as she returns to the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) after a whopping 15 years away from her former club, Bayelsa Queens.

Ebi’s illustrious career has seen her playing for esteemed clubs in Sweden, Turkey, Belarus, China, and most recently, Spain.
