Peaceful Prayers Urged to Combat Insecurity in Zamfara State, Says Governor Lawal

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has called upon residents to seize the opportunity presented by the season of Maulud to seek divine intervention and pray for the restoration of peace and tranquility in the state.

Emphasizing the importance of peace, the Governor stated that without it, development in any form would remain elusive, as peace serves as the foundation for progress.

Governor Lawal made these remarks as the esteemed guest of honor at the annual Maulud celebration, known as Maulud Rabidah, held in the state capital, Gusau.

Lawal’s presence at the event attested to the government’s unwavering commitment to fostering peace and promoting tolerance among the people of Zamfara.

The Governor implored the people to take collective responsibility for each other’s well-being and collaborate for the sake of a peaceful and prosperous state.

Urging the preservation of moral values and adherence to the teachings of the Holy Prophet (SAW), Governor Lawal particularly emphasized the importance of educating children in acquiring knowledge and embodying virtuous qualities.

“As a leader who genuinely cares for the welfare of the people, I passionately implore religious leaders and the public to actively engage in identifying and reporting any pressing issues that require the immediate attention of the government,” he stated.
