Comedic Legend Mr. Ibu Appeals for Public Support in Battle Against Debilitating Ailment that Threatens His Leg

In a heartfelt plea from his hospital bed on Wednesday, veteran comic actor John Okafor, widely known as Mr. Ibu, has taken to social media to seek public assistance as he fights an ailment that may necessitate the amputation of his leg.

Having been bedridden for several weeks now, Mr. Ibu shared a video clip on his Instagram page, shedding light on his current health condition. He revealed that his doctors have informed him that amputation may be the only remaining option if all other efforts fail.

Accompanying the actor in the video, his daughter, Jasmine Okafor, expressed deep concern for her father’s deteriorating health, explaining that he has already depleted his financial resources in the pursuit of treatment. It is for this reason that they have turned to the public for support.

Jasmine fervently pleaded with kind-hearted Nigerians to contribute towards the funds needed to fly Mr. Ibu abroad for advanced medical care.

Mr. Ibu, aware of the generosity and empathy of Nigerians, wrote in the video caption, “Dear Good People of Nigeria, we are counting on your support during this critical time when we need it the most.”

For those willing to assist, contributions can be made to the following banking details:
