The Future of Nigeria’s Development: Empowering the Youth – Peter Obi

The Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, emphasizes that the future of Nigeria’s development rests on the potential and productivity of its youthful population. In his recent speech at the SM Fest, an annual international business conference in Owerri, Imo State, Obi stresses the importance of mentoring the youth to prevent them from falling into a life of crime and guide them towards true success.

During the event, the former governor of Anambra State, took the opportunity to connect with Nigerian youths and technopreneurs. He shared personal anecdotes about his own journey, emphasizing the critical role of leadership in his life. Recognizing the undeniable significance of the younger generation, Obi has made it his commitment to invest ample time in mentoring and empowering them, as they hold the key to the nation’s future.

“I believe in the potential of our youth,” Obi declares. “As part of my leadership commitment, I have chosen to guide and support the younger generation. I started by sharing my own background, highlighting the value of education and the lessons I learned as a trader. I emphasized the importance of character, integrity, hard work, and honesty, while encouraging them to actively contribute to the development of our nation and humanity at large.”

He recognizes that the strength and productivity of Nigeria’s youthful population are crucial for the nation’s progress.
