Marcus Rashford’s Only Hurdle at Manchester United, Revealed by Louis Saha

Former Manchester United striker, Louis Saha, has shed light on Marcus Rashford’s current struggle at the club.

Saha firmly believes that Rashford needs to stop ‘overthinking’ in order to break free from his recent spell of poor form.

Last season, Rashford was named Manchester United’s Player of the Year after an impressive tally of 30 goals and 11 assists across all competitions for the Premier League giants.

However, this season has been a different story for the young England international.

So far, Rashford has managed just one goal and three assists in 12 appearances under Erik ten Hag’s management.

“I see tremendous quality in Marcus Rashford, there’s no doubt about that,” Saha told Paddy Power.

“But what’s holding him back is overthinking. It may sound simplistic, but it isn’t. He tends to mull over things too much, and that is the crux of the matter for him at the moment.”

Saha continued, emphasizing Rashford’s strengths, “He possesses great energy levels, is physically strong, and his ability to make penetrating runs sets him apart.”

Adding to his advice, Saha stated, “We want to see Rashford fully committed, letting go of his fear of making mistakes. He needs to attack, attempt crosses, shoot at goal, and be content if he earns a corner.”

“It may sound simple, but this is the reality Rashford faces right now. He needs to streamline his game and channel all his energy into what works. I am confident that once he does this, he will become unstoppable again.”
