Supreme Court Verdict: Interior Minister Congratulates President Tinubu, VP Shettima

The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Vice President, Kashim Shettima over the Supreme Court verdict that affirmed their victory in the February 25, 2023 Presidential elections.

In a statement signed by Alao Babatunde, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Minister, Dr Tunji-Ojo applauded the verdict of the presidential petition tribunal.

This verdict by the Supreme Court, which affirms your victory as the winner of the February 25, 2023 presidential election, elates my soul.

“Your walk to this significant stage of life has been marked by a steadfast dedication to public service and a deep-rooted vision for the prosperity of our beloved country.”

“Nigerians, and of course the world, await the turn-around of the nation’s fortune, and the early signs are here with us as proofs that renewed hope is here,” the statement added.

The Supreme Court had on Thursday upheld the victory of President Bola Tinubu and his Vice, Kashim Shettima, in the election.

The apex court, in its ruling, dismissed the appeals by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and his Labour Party counterpart Peter Obi.
