Senator Yari Empowers APC Social Media Warriors with Smartphones

Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara, showed his support for the party’s social media warriors by gifting them with 40 android smartphones. The phones were presented during a one-day workshop organized by Sen. Yari’s New Media office in Talata-Mafara. Senator Yari urged the beneficiaries to utilize their platforms in promoting peace and political stability in the state.

During the workshop, Alhaji Sha’ayau Sarkin-Fawa, the representative of the lawmaker, spoke about the significant role played by social media in building the party’s presence in the state. He expressed his appreciation for the contributions and support of the social media users, emphasizing that their activities greatly influenced the success of the APC in the state.

Highlighting the global impact of information dissemination via social media, Sen. Yari encouraged the participants to maintain their efforts in promoting peacebuilding and stability. He urged them to prioritize the nation’s interest for the sustainability of peace in the country.

The director-general of New Media to Sen. Yari, Almansur Almajir, explained that the aim of the workshop was to enhance the capacity of the participants. He commended Senator Yari and former Governor Bello Matawalle, who is now the Minister of State for Defence, for their support in building the APC in the state.

Participants from the six local government areas of Zamfara West Senatorial District were selected for the workshop. Muhammad Lawal, the chairman of Zamfara APC’s social media crew, and Abdul Bala, former Senior Special Assistant to Matawalle, expressed their gratitude to Senator Yari for empowering the social media handlers and enhancing their capacity.

This initiative by Senator Yari not only recognizes the valuable contributions made by social media warriors in the development of the APC, but also strengthens the party’s online presence. By empowering the social media handlers, Senator Yari has demonstrated his commitment to harnessing the power of technology in driving political engagement and promoting peace in Zamfara state.
