Army and Vigilantes Successfully Rescue Four Kidnapping Victims in Kebbi

A commendable joint operation between the Nigerian Army and local vigilantes has resulted in the successful rescue of four individuals who were kidnapped by bandits at Bangi Hill in Suru Local Government Area of Kebbi. The triumphant outcome of this mission was confirmed in a statement issued by Yahaya Sarki, the Special Adviser to Governor Nasir Idris on Media and Publicity, in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday.

According to the statement, the security operatives executed the rescue operation on Wednesday, working in unison to overcome the nefarious bandits. The synchronized efforts of the gallant troops from 1 Battalion Dukku Barrack, Birinin Kebbi and the local vigilantes proved instrumental in dislodging a substantial number of the criminals and ultimately securing the safe release of the abducted victims.

The four individuals rescued from the clutches of their kidnappers have been identified as Malam Audu Fulani, aged 45; Umaru Wakili, aged 14; Alhaji Malam Imam, aged 50; and Chaggo Garba, aged 19. These individuals were finally reunited with their families after enduring the harrowing ordeal of being held captive by the heartless bandits.

It is worth noting that the intensified efforts of the security agencies in Kebbi State have yielded positive results in recent times. Governor Nasir Idris’ commitment to bolstering their operations with the provision of additional logistical support has undoubtedly played a pivotal role in enabling them to effectively combat criminal activities within the state.
