The Obi‑Datti Presidential Campaign Council has condemned the alleged attack on its candidate, Peter Obi, after a rally in Katsina on Monday. According to the campaign team, the incident occurred after Obi participated in a town‑hall meeting with women and then held a rally at Muhammad Dikko Stadium. During his visit, Obi promised to tackle critical issues such as hunger, insecurity and unemployment. He and his running mate, Datti Baba‑Ahmed, assured the crowd that, if elected, they would serve the country with dedication. Obi emphasized his commitment to fulfilling his promises to Nigerians and urged the electorate to have faith in him and his party to advance the nation’s development.
The campaign team reported that Obi was attacked by hoodlums while en route to the airport. They stated, “On his way to the airport, hoodlums attacked the car our candidate was riding in with heavy stones from the driver’s side.”
