In a surprising turn of events, former Manchester United striker, Louis Saha, has taken aim at midfielder Mason Mount, accusing him of shying away from responsibility on the field.

Saha expressed his disappointment in Mount’s performance, noting the alarming frequency with which he avoids the ball and fails to take charge during Manchester United’s difficult start to the season.

Mount, who joined the club from Chelsea for a hefty fee of £60 million, has struggled to live up to his price tag so far.

“There have been instances this season where Mason Mount doesn’t even make an effort to receive the ball,” Saha expressed in an interview with BettingOdds. “It’s truly shocking to witness a player of his caliber shying away from his responsibilities.”

Saha, known for his goal-scoring prowess during his time at Manchester United, believes that Mount possesses immense talent, but his current hesitancy and lack of self-assurance are hindering his performance on the pitch.

“He is a player of exceptional quality, and seeing him play in this manner, without the willingness to make a difference, is deeply disappointing,” Saha emphasized. “Mount needs to display courage and commitment, as his current lack of faith in himself is palpable. I am thoroughly unimpressed with Mason Mount at this moment.”
