Army and Police successfully rescue two kidnapped Corps Members in Katsina State

In a show of collaboration and swift action, the troops of 17 Brigade Nigerian Army, along with the Police, have successfully rescued two Corps members who were kidnapped by bandits in Yargoje community, Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The joint operation, which took place on November 2, 2023, resulted in the safe return of the abductees.

The Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, commended the security forces for their quick response and successful rescue of the kidnapped victims.

The rescued Corps members have received immediate medical attention and support to ensure their well-being. They are currently under the care of the Nigerian Police in Kankara.

The Nigerian Army urges the public to continue providing timely and relevant information that will aid in proactive operational engagements against criminal elements threatening national security.

It should be noted that the Corps members were abducted while traveling from Edo to Katsina State.
