Imo guber: IGP to redeploy Police Commissioner ahead of Saturday’s election

Ahead of Saturday’s governorship election in Imo State, the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, has disclosed plans to redeploy the State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Barde.

Egbetokun defined that there have been allegations towards Barde, therefore the necessity for redeployment.

He spoke whereas that includes on ChannelsTV programme, Peoples Townhall, on Sunday night time.

The police boss additionally cautioned criminals to steer clear of Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa State on Saturday.

According to Egbetokun, Saturday’s off-cycle election wouldn’t be enterprise as ordinary.

He stated: “I am aware that there have been allegations on social media against the Commissioner of Police in Imo State but for this election, we are changing the commissioner of police in Imo.”
