Kano State Ministry of Education Halts Secondary School Qualifying Exams Due to Nationwide Strike

The Kano State Ministry of Education has announced the cancellation of the secondary school qualifying exams in light of the ongoing strike initiated by the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress. The exams, originally scheduled for Tuesday, November 14, 2023, have been indefinitely suspended.

In an official statement, the Ministry stated, “the State Ministry of Education has suspended the 2023 Secondary Schools Qualifying Examination (SSQE) scheduled to take place today, Tuesday 14th Nov. 2023, till further notice.”

Furthermore, the statement, which was signed by the Director of Public Enlightenment at the Ministry, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, appealed to students and parents/guardians for understanding and cooperation in light of the inconvenience caused by the suspension.
