RMRDC and Niger State Government to Collaborate on Kaolin Deposits Development

The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) has expressed its desire to partner with the Niger State Government to fully exploit the abundant kaolin deposits in the state.

During a familiarization visit to the Niger State Ministry of Mineral Resources in Minna, the State Coordinator of RMRDC, Yakubu Mohammed, highlighted the untapped natural resources in the state and emphasized the potential of kaolin to significantly contribute to Niger State’s revenue, possibly meeting up to 80% of its needs.

Yakubu Mohammed further emphasized the exceptional quality and economic potential of the kaolin deposits in Niger State, stating that the daily production capacity of thirty tons of kaolin signifies a substantial opportunity for economic growth and development.

He called for a collaborative effort between the Niger State Government and RMRDC to maximize the available opportunities for the benefit of the state and its people.

In response, the Commissioner for Mineral Resources in Niger State, Garba Sabo Yahaya, affirmed the state government’s willingness to form a partnership with RMRDC for the development of kaolin resources. He expressed confidence that this collaboration would unlock economic opportunities and drive the socio-economic growth and progress of the state.

It is evident that harnessing the economic potential of kaolin deposits through this collaboration between RMRDC and the Niger State Government holds the promise of a positive impact on the state’s economy and overall development.
