Harrysong Urges Nigerians to Avoid Social Media Dating Advice

A prominent Nigerian artist and instrumentalist, Harrison Tare Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, has cautioned the public against seeking dating guidance on social media.

In a recent post on his Instagram story, Harrysong emphasised that such advice often originates from content creators striving to make ends meet.

Expanding on his viewpoint, the musician questioned the rationale behind a married woman leaving her spouse to pursue a relationship with another married man.

He expressed: “It is crucial to refrain from relying on dating advice from social media. Such counsel emanates from content creators who are themselves trying to navigate life’s complexities.”

Harrysong provided an example, highlighting a scenario where a married woman abandoned her four-year marriage, along with her two children, following her husband’s infidelity, only to subsequently become involved with a married man. He pondered, “Is this truly progress?”
