Reports suggest that former England international, David Beckham, has extended an invitation to Manchester United legend, David de Gea, to join his Inter Miami side.
De Gea, who is currently a free agent, departed from Manchester United over the summer following a reversal in the club’s decision to offer him a new contract.
After leaving the Red Devils, the Spanish goalkeeper was succeeded by Andre Onana at Manchester United.
Despite receiving several offers, including those from the Saudi Pro League and Inter Milan, De Gea has declined them as he hopes for a return to La Liga. However, the only viable options showing interest in signing him are Real Betis and Valencia, neither of which can match the £350,000-a-week contract he previously had at Manchester United.
Nonetheless, as per the Daily Star, Beckham is actively persuading his fellow Manchester United legend to join Inter Miami and participate in the Major League Soccer (MLS), with a quietly optimistic outlook on finalizing the deal.
If De Gea embraces the offer from Inter Miami, he would find himself alongside teammates such as Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets.
