Whitemoney Believes His Song “Oyoyo” Deserves a Grammy

Reality TV sensation and singer, Whitemoney, whose real name is Hazel Oyeze Onou, is confident that his latest release, ‘Oyoyo’, merits a Grammy award.

The winner of BBNaija Season 6 declared that ‘Oyoyo’ is currently the “biggest song” in Eastern Nigeria. In a recent interview, he boldly proclaimed, “My latest single, Oyoyo, is currently the biggest song in the East. That track deserves a Grammy, and this is not me boasting; rather, I am simply stating a fact.”

During the interview, Whitemoney also disclosed his aspirations for a career in Nollywood. He expressed, “I believe I possess the ability, talent, and charisma to become a top Nollywood superstar. I have a couple of movies in the pipeline, and before the year ends, they will hit the cinemas.”

Media Talk Africa highlighted that the prestigious Grammy organizers recently introduced a Best African Music Performance category. The inaugural nominations for the 2024 edition of the award include Davido and Musa Keys’ ‘Unavailable’, Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush’, Burna Boy’s ‘City Boys’, Asake and Olamide’s ‘Amapiano’, and Tyla’s ‘Water’.
