Uriel Oputa Asserts Her Acting Prowess, Challenges Nollywood’s Status Quo

Uriel Oputa, renowned for her stint on Big Brother Naija and her musical talent, recently stirred the pot by boldly proclaiming her acting superiority over certain Nollywood actresses.

During a candid interview on Cool FM, Uriel confidently declared, “I receive numerous offers from filmmakers to feature in movies. My DMs and email are inundated with such requests. I firmly believe in my prowess as an actress; in fact, I daresay I surpass some of the current Nollywood actresses. This isn’t mere boastfulness – it’s my unwavering truth. Beyond my innate artistic flair, I pursued a dramatic arts course in the UK, validating my confidence in my acting abilities.”

She continued, “While I’ve been approached for various acting opportunities, I have consistently declined them. The primary reason being the likelihood of being typecast. Additionally, many scripts are disappointingly formulaic, and the remuneration is often unsatisfactory.”

Uriel’s audacious proclamation has undoubtedly ignited a debate within entertainment circles, fostering introspection about conventional casting practices and prevailing remuneration standards.
