Customs Chief Emphasizes Harnessing Expertise of Retired Officers

In a bid to enhance service delivery, Mr Adewale Adeniyi, Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has underscored the importance of leveraging the wealth of knowledge possessed by former management officials of the service.

Speaking at the inaugural reunion of retired NCS management officials in Abuja, Adeniyi highlighted the significance of tapping into the extensive experience, expertise, and commitment demonstrated by these retired officers during their tenure with the NCS.

He emphasized the need to acknowledge and address any existing gaps that may have previously hindered the effective utilization of such valuable resources.

Adeniyi stated, “Drawing lessons from successful practices in other institutions, it is imperative that we identify and address the following gaps:

“Absence of structured programs within the NCS specifically tailored to engage retired officers.

“The NCS stands to gain from developing customized initiatives to facilitate seamless collaboration with retired officers.”
