EPL: He has talent to become big star – Badiashile gives verdict on Chelsea’s new signing

Chelsea defender, Benoit Badiashile, has given his verdict on the club’s new January signing Mykhailo Mudryk.

Badiashile said Mudryk has the talent to become a big star in the near future for Chelsea.

The Frenchman also described the Ukrainian, who joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk for an initial fee of around £61 million, as a terrific player.

Recall that Mudryk recently signed an eight-and-a-half-year contract with Chelsea, which will keep him at the west London club until the summer of 2031.

“He’s a terrific player, but only the future will tell us if he can turn into a big star,” Badiashile told Capital Football.

“But for sure, he has the talent to become just that.”

Mudryk made an impressive debut for Graham Potter’s side against Liverpool in the Premier League last week.

The 22-year-old came on as a second-half substitute and troubled the Liverpool defence with his pace and skills.
