Victor Osimhen Embarks on Marrakech Journey for CAF Awards, Missing Napoli Training Session

Nigerian football sensation Victor Osimhen has embarked on a journey to Marrakech, Morocco to grace the prestigious CAF Awards 2023, consequently missing out on Napoli’s training session on Monday morning.
According to La Repubblica, the prolific Nigerian striker was notably absent from the training session with his Napoli teammates at their Castel Volturno training base.
In a striking turn of events, Osimhen opted to board a private flight from Capodichino Airport, destined for Marrakech, Morocco, where the highly anticipated award ceremony is set to take place.
The 24-year-old prodigy has been nominated for the Men’s Player of the Year accolade, standing alongside esteemed figures such as Liverpool’s prominent star Mohamed Salah and PSG’s defensive maestro Achraf Hakimi.
Should Osimhen emerge victorious, he would etch his name in history as the first Nigerian to claim the prestigious award since the legendary Nwankwo Kanu’s triumph in 1999.
Anticipation mounts as the stage is set for the grand spectacle of the CAF Awards 2023 at Palais des Congrès, Movenpick, Marrakech, all scheduled to unfold on this very night.
