Former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, took a swipe at the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, alleging that his counsel was ignored in the current crisis gripping Rivers State.

Eze suggested that the hand of retributive justice is at play, as Wike finds himself embroiled in a power struggle with Governor Siminialayi Fubara. Referencing historical events, Eze indicated that the tides have turned against Wike, citing his earlier warnings that “whatever you sow will come after you” being disregarded by the Governor.

The political stalwart also reminisced on past incidents involving Wike and politicians who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), highlighting the constitutional implications of such moves and the subsequent loss of legislative seats. Eze dismissed the uproar over the ousted lawmakers in Rivers State as “a noise of no value,” alluding to similar occurrences in Cross Rivers State.

Furthermore, Eze insinuated that Governor Ganduje’s actions, including the dissolution of the Rivers State APC Chapter and the appointment of Wike’s loyalists, were part of a calculated strategy to neutralize Wike’s political influence. He commended Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Tinubu, for downplaying Wike’s political stature, likening him to an unskilled entertainer.

In Eze’s perspective, the unfolding events in Rivers State symbolize a lesson for Wike, positioning him as a protagonist undergoing a humbling journey back to the basics of political maneuvering.

By bringing together vivid commentary and astute insights, Eze paints a gripping narrative of political intrigue, power play, and the inevitable repercussions of political choices.
