Struggling Man United Keeper Onana Admits: ‘I’m Not Happy’

Manchester United’s shot-stopper Andre Onana has opened up about his dissatisfaction with his performance at the club this season. The Cameroonian goalkeeper, who made a big-money move from Inter Milan to Old Trafford last summer, aimed to fill the void left by David De Gea. Despite being hailed as the best goalkeeper in the Champions League the previous season, Onana’s form has faltered, marked by high-profile errors in both the Premier League and the Champions League.

Reflecting on his underwhelming season, Onana candidly expressed, “If I have to speak about my season so far for Manchester United, I am not happy because I know I can do much better; I’ve done it and I know I will do it better than what is happening now,” during an interview with Sky Sports. He added, “We are not facing a good moment. I hope things will change as soon as possible. But listen, you want to tell me that in six months, the best goalkeeper in the Champions League last season can become the worst in the world? Nah. Everything is temporary. I know it will be alright. If not today, it will be tomorrow; if not tomorrow, the day after tomorrow.”

Onana’s frank admission sheds light on the internal struggles within the Red Devils’ goalkeeping department, sparking speculation about the potential impact on the team’s performance. As the pressure mounts, Onana remains optimistic about a turnaround, emphasizing the transient nature of his current challenges.

This revelation from the talented keeper not only underscores the turbulent nature of professional sports but also unveils a glimpse of the mental fortitude required to navigate through rough patches at the highest level.

It remains to be seen how Onana’s resilience and unwavering belief in his abilities will manifest in the remainder of the season, as Manchester United looks to regain stability and momentum in both domestic and continental competitions.
