Musa Salihu Iyimoga, a former member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has officially tendered his resignation from the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
In a letter dated Monday, December 18, 2023, addressed to the Chairman of the ZLP in his Sabon Gari ward of Doma Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, Iyimoga formally communicated his decision to sever ties with the party. While the letter did not explicitly state the rationale behind his departure, it signifies a significant shift in his political affiliation.
Iyimoga garnered public attention in 2019 when he clinched victory on the platform of the ZLP. However, his quest for reelection encountered a roadblock, culminating in defeat to the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The former lawmaker represented the Doma North Constituency during the 6th Assembly, and his resignation marks a pivotal moment in his political trajectory, invoking speculation about his future endeavors in the dynamic sphere of Nigerian politics.
