Don Hutchison, a former Liverpool star, has expressed criticism towards Chelsea’s winger, Mykhailo Mudryk, for being excessively fast on the pitch. Hutchison emphasized the need for Mudryk to exhibit better control over his pace during matches. Mudryk, who joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January for a substantial sum of £88.5 million, faced a challenging start at the club, failing to secure any goals in the Premier League throughout the 2022-23 season. Despite this, he has managed to find the net twice in 15 appearances this season.
In a statement saturated with mixed emotions, Hutchinson expressed, “Mudryk, who I really, really want to love, but it is almost like he’s too fast. He needs to slow down” (via The Chelsea Chronicle).
