An articulated truck carrying a 20ft container fell onto a commercial bus at the Ojuelegba bridge in Lagos on Sunday, resulting in the deaths of eight occupants. Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, reported that the truck lost control while ascending the bridge.

Upon arrival at the scene, responders discovered that the truck had landed on top of the commercial bus. Investigations indicated that the bus was in the process of picking up passengers when the truck lost control and toppled over the side of the bridge. Tragically, a total of eight fatalities were confirmed, including four adult males, two adult females, a girl, and a boy.
