Nigeria Ranks Fourth in Ticket Sales for AFCON 2023

Nigeria has secured the fourth spot in the ticket sales standings for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, as announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The official CAF account disclosed that Nigeria’s ticket sales have positioned the country among the top five in Africa, with a total of 12,544 tickets purchased.

Host nation Cote d’Ivoire leads the pack with an impressive 32,307 tickets sold, followed closely by Nigeria’s Group A rivals Guinea-Bissau and Equatorial Guinea with 28,614 and 16,237 tickets sold, respectively. The reigning champions, Senegal, are trailing behind in fifth place with 10,959 tickets purchased.

Scheduled to take place from January 13 to February 11, 2024, the 2023 AFCON finals are highly anticipated. The tournament will kick off with Nigeria’s Super Eagles facing Equatorial Guinea in the opening match at the Alssanne Quattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan on Sunday, January 14.
