The Lagos State Police have apprehended two women and a man in connection with multiple cases of cyberbullying, cyber stalking, abduction, threats to life, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace. The arrests came after the police received numerous petitions regarding these offenses.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson of the State Police Command, confirmed the arrests. He stated that preliminary investigations have substantiated the allegations against the suspects. Moreover, the police have expressed their commitment to conduct further investigations to enable possible prosecution.
In a bid to ensure thorough investigation, the police secured a remand order for the suspects until January 10, 2024, by approaching a court of competent jurisdiction. This move underscores the seriousness with which the police are treating these allegations.
