Bournemouth in dramatic move for £12m Osayi-Samuel

English Premier League side Bournemouth are reportedly plotting a late swoop for Nigeria international and Fenerbahce winger Bright Osayi-Samuel, with Crystal Palace also interested in the former QPR superstar, Sports Extra reports.

According to the Sun, the Cherries are eyeing a dramatic move for the Nigerian winger, with Fenerbahce demanding £12m for their star player following an impressive year in Turkey.

Premier League interest in the wing-back has spiked in recent days, with Fenerbahce recently announcing that Palace had made an offer to bring Osayi-Samuel back to London.

Yet Bournemouth could now make a move of their own as Gary O’Neil looks to make another signing in January.

Osayi-Samuel has settled in well at Istanbul with the first team and has featured in 27 appearances in all competitions for the Yellow Canaries this campaign.

Bournemouth’s transfer team are big fans of the versatile Nigerian and would find the funds for a player who could fill several roles for them.

Osayi-Samuel is currently injured after he suffered an injury in Fenerbahçe’s Ziraat Turkish Cup match at home to Çaykur Rizespor in a last-16 match.

The Nigerian defender copped the injury in the 80th minute, which Fenerbahce won 2-1, and was replaced by Willian Arao.

Osayi-Samuel has operated as a right wing-back for the Turkish giants but can also play on either flank or up top.
