Bola Tinubu Appoints New Directors for NIMASA and NPA

In a significant move, President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of executive directors for the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). These crucial appointments underline the administration’s commitment to fortifying the marine and blue economy sectors.

At the Nigerian Ports Authority, Ms. Vivian C. Richard Edet has been appointed as the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Engr. Olalekan Badmus as the Executive Director of Marine and Operations, and Engr. Ibrahim Abba Umar as the Executive Director of Engineering and Technical Services.

Meanwhile, at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Mr. Jibril Abba has been appointed as the Executive Director of Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services, Mr. Chudi Offodile as the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, and Engr. Fatai Taye Adeyemi as the Executive Director of Operations.

A statement released by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Tinubu, emphasized that these appointments were made after a meticulous review of the appointees’ exceptional track records. President Tinubu expressed firm confidence in the new directors, expecting them to efficiently execute their collective mandate and bolster the Marine and Blue Economy Sector’s contribution to the nation’s GDP.

These appointments are poised to usher in a new era of strategic leadership within the NPA and NIMASA, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to driving sustainable growth and development in Nigeria’s marine and blue economy sectors.
