Enyimba FC’s Finidi George Absent for Super Eagles Duty

Enyimba FC’s head coach, Finidi George, will be absent for the team’s upcoming match against Sporting Lagos as he fulfills his duties with the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, in preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

During Finidi’s absence, assistant coach Olanrewaju Yemi will assume leadership of the nine-time Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) champions.

If the Super Eagles progress to the AFCON final, Finidi could potentially miss as many as five league games. Despite this setback, Enyimba FC has shown impressive form, remaining unbeaten in their last four league fixtures.

Currently, The People’s Elephant holds fourth place in the NPFL table, boasting 26 points and demonstrating their competitiveness in the league.
