Rivers State Leaders Urge Political Leaders to Allow Nyesom Wike to Fulfill FCT Duties

The Coalition of Rivers State Leaders of Thoughts, an NGO, has issued a compelling plea to political figures, urging them to permit the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to carry out his official responsibilities in the best interest of the FCT and Nigeria.

In a statement released in Abuja on Sunday and jointly signed by the Convener, Chief Sunnie Chukumele, and Chairman of the Board of Trustee of the NGO, Retired Gen. A. B Mamman (Rtd), the group emphasized the importance of allowing Wike to fulfill his duties and mandates for the progress of the FCT and the nation at large.

The statement highlighted Wike’s track record as the former governor of Rivers State, citing his deliberate and purposeful approach to governance, which the group believes is essential for the development of Abuja. The leaders noted that Wike’s past accomplishments in Rivers State are indicative of the significant impact he could have on the transformation of the FCT.

The group expressed concern over any potential obstruction to Wike’s efforts, emphasizing the necessity of maintaining a constructive approach rather than engaging in public altercations that could be detrimental to the FCT and Nigeria as a whole.

Additionally, the leaders commended other groups that displayed solidarity with Wike, underscoring the significance of acknowledging and appreciating Wike’s contributions to the FCT.

The timely intervention by the Coalition of Rivers State Leaders of Thoughts signifies a growing call for unity and cooperation in allowing Nyesom Wike to contribute positively to the development of the FCT, ultimately benefiting the entirety of Nigeria.
