Reports have surfaced of a harrowing incident in the Sagwari Layout Estate located in the Dutse axis of Bwari Area Council, Abuja. Alleged bandits, armed to the teeth, struck the tranquil estate on a fateful Sunday night at approximately 11:47 p.m., perpetrating an audacious kidnapping of eight individuals.
Emmanuel Shagari, a resident within the community, recounted the terrifying invasion, disclosing that the marauding gunmen surreptitiously breached the estate’s rear perimeter before abruptly spiriting away their unsuspecting victims under the duress of their menacing firearms.
“The perpetrators executed their nefarious scheme with a shroud of silence, refraining from discharging their weapons to avert arousing the attention of neighboring estate occupants,” Shagari shared with Daily Trust Newspaper.
Furthermore, Shagari revealed that the assailants subjugated the estate’s security personnel by immobilizing him with restraints and absconding with his communication device. He added that law enforcement authorities were promptly notified subsequent to the assailants’ departure and that a collaborative effort amongst security units is currently underway in pursuit of the captives’ rescue.
Meanwhile, as the community grapples with the aftermath of this audacious attack, the FCT Police Command has not yet officially acknowledged the distressing incident.
