Police Commence Rigorous Screening of 1,537 Applicants in Ebonyi State

In a bid to bolster the manpower of the Nigeria Police Force, the Ebonyi Command has kickstarted the rigorous physical and credential screening of 1,537 applicants as part of the ongoing nationwide recruitment exercise.

Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Augustina Ogbodo, revealed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the screening process, which commenced on Monday, has proceeded seamlessly without any hitches. “The screening is intended to enhance the strength of the Police Force not only in Ebonyi but throughout the country,” Ogbodo emphasized.

While the exact number of applicants screened so far remains indeterminate due to the ongoing nature of the exercise, Ogbodo assured that the process has been meticulously structured to ensure that only certified and qualified individuals undergo screening. “We are meticulously selecting the most qualified candidates, and it’s important to note that the exercise is being conducted free of any form of bias,” she added.

Moreover, Ogbodo reiterated the commitment of the police command to ensuring a secure environment for the citizenry, underscoring the significance of maintaining peace and security in the state.
