Equatorial Guinea Boss Tips Super Eagles as AFCON 2023 Title Contenders

Equatorial Guinea’s head coach, Juan Micha, has identified the Super Eagles of Nigeria as strong contenders for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations title. The Nzalang Nacional is set to face the three-time African champions in the opening game at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Ebimpe on Sunday, alongside hosts Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea-Bissau.

According to Micha, the Super Eagles, along with Senegal, Morocco, and Egypt, are teams to watch out for in the competition. “I think it is difficult to predict because there are Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, and also Senegal, the former champion, Egypt, and Morocco. So I will not predict who will be the champion, but we have to wait,” he stated.

Micha’s acknowledgment of Nigeria as a potent force in the tournament intensifies the anticipation for an exhilarating showdown. With the stage set for a thrilling clash, football enthusiasts around the globe eagerly await the unfolding drama of the AFCON 2023.
