Farah Dagogo, the member representing the Bomny-Degema Federal Constituency in Rivers State, has asserted that the five-point agenda of the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will facilitate the restructuring of Nigeria. During a sensitization meeting with Atiku’s supporters in Port Harcourt on Monday, Dagogo emphasized that this agenda aims to tackle the disconnect caused by ethnic disunity within the country. He expressed confidence that voting for Atiku and his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, would steer Nigeria towards peaceful coexistence, enhance educational standards, and promote economic prosperity.
Dagogo remains optimistic that the current challenges facing Nigeria and its citizens across various sectors can be resolved through the comprehensive five-point agenda proposed by the PDP presidential candidate. As a dedicated supporter of Atiku, he believes that restructuring is essential to counter the ongoing threats to national unity, which have manifested in a growing number of citizens openly questioning their allegiance to the nation and advocating for ethno-regional autonomy.
He pointed out that one of the significant issues plaguing the country is the urgent need to address the challenges of restructuring and resource control, particularly for the people of the Niger Delta and other resource-rich regions. Dagogo highlighted that, for the first time, there is a candidate aspiring to the presidency who is committed to confronting these issues directly. He further noted that Atiku has demonstrated a strong determination to enhance the education system, equipping students with the necessary skills to thrive in a global landscape increasingly driven by innovation, science, and technology.
Dagogo assured the audience that Atiku understands the immense responsibility of fostering a robust and genuine federal system that can build a prosperous economy, create jobs, and lift millions out of poverty. He also pledged that an administration led by Atiku would prioritize addressing the security challenges currently facing the nation.
