Police Arrest Kidnapper and Rescue Victim in Abuja

The FCT Police Command made a significant breakthrough in combating criminal activities as they apprehended a kidnapper and successfully rescued a victim in Sauka, along Airport Road, Abuja.

The spokesperson for the Command, Josephine Adeh, disclosed that the victim, identified as Suleiman Sabo, sustained injuries during the ordeal and is presently undergoing medical treatment in a local hospital. The swift and daring operation also resulted in the recovery of a rifle and 10 rounds of live ammunition from the assailant, Muhammad Abel, aged 32, hailing from Kogi State.

The rescue operation, led by Police Operatives attached to Iddo Divisional Headquarters on Sunday, January 21, 2024, marks a crucial victory in the relentless battle against crime in the FCT. The Commissioner of Police, CP Haruna G. Garba, emphasized the Command’s unwavering commitment to eradicating criminal activities and preserving peace in the region for all residents.
