Eskom Expands Prepaid Meter Installation Drive in Limpopo, South Africa

Eskom, South Africa’s state power utility, is set to launch a province-wide rollout of prepaid meters in Limpopo as part of its meter maintenance program. This initiative aims to enhance reliable electricity services for residents in the region. The introduction of prepaid smart meters will be executed in phases across the province.

While announcing this development, Eskom Limpopo expressed enthusiasm, underlining its ongoing commitment to delivering dependable electricity services. However, the utility cautioned that customers in the area might encounter temporary power supply interruptions during the installation process.

In addressing potential inconveniences, Eskom assured the community of its efforts to minimize the duration of any interruptions. Concurrently, Eskom has notified the public via social media about the implementation of Stage 2 load shedding from Monday until further notice, indicating a proactive approach to managing power supply amidst the ongoing developments.
