Kenya Power’s Scheduled Maintenance Disrupts Power Supply in Three Regions

Kenya Power made an announcement regarding the scheduled maintenance that would take place in three regions. The purpose of this maintenance is to enhance the efficiency of the power grid. The maintenance was slated to occur from 8 am to 5 pm in parts of Nairobi, South Nyanza, and the Mt. Kenya regions.

In the Nairobi region, several areas including Kitengela, Korompoi, Sucos, Oltoroto, RAF University, Isinya Feeds, and Reds Ranch in Kajiado County will be affected by the maintenance.

The South Nyanza region will also experience interruptions in areas such as Gesima, Mochenwa, Riyabe, Nyagachi, Esani, Karantini, Nyamakoroto, Mosombeti, Enchoro, Royal Media, Riamanoti, and Matunwa Tea in Kisii County from 9 am to 4 pm. Additionally, Kisii County will see maintenance work on power lines connecting Kisii University, Mwembe, Jogoo, and Bobaracho between 8:30 am and 10:30 am.

The Mt. Kenya region’s maintenance will take place from 9 am to 5 pm and will impact parts of Nyeri County including Muruguru, Kiamuiru, Kandara, Marua, Kirimara, Fk Resort, WA Kuguru, Githiru, and Gwa Kigera.

This scheduled maintenance is vital for improving the functionality of the power grid in these regions, although it will cause temporary inconveniences for the residents and businesses in the affected areas.
